Why this exists
An ephemeris from India's own astronomical tradition, measured in the open. Predictions only when the mathematics dates them.
Bharat Ephemeris exists to prove a simple point: India's astronomical tradition can be run as living mathematics, measured against the best modern references, and published without embarrassment. Sūrya-Siddhānta mean motions, the Kerala school's corrections of 1501, and honestly-labelled observation-fitted layers — no foreign code at runtime.
The numbers above are public and dated — see /accuracy for the method. Jyotiṣa, as we practise it, is a structural language: positions, periods, geometries. Studied and taught without fear; that conviction shapes every product decision here.

यथा गणितं प्रदर्शयामः, तथा प्रमाणानि उद्धृतवामः। यथा प्रमाणानि उद्धृतवामः, तथा फलं न ब्रूमः।
We show every calculation in the open. We cite every śāstra by chapter and verse. Our timing windows are calculative and dated — drawn from the mathematics, never from fear, doom, or fixed-outcome claims.
मया कामाख्यायाः (0, 0, 0) मूलं स्वीकृतम्। पाश्चात्यानां मूलं न मानयामः, परन्तु तेषां सङ्ख्याः परीक्षायां स्वीकार्याः।
We accept Maa Kāmākhyā as the (0, 0, 0) origin of our coordinate frame. We do not adopt the Western reference systems as our ground truth — but we honor them as cross-check signals.
सर्वोत्कृष्टं सत्यं निरपेक्षम् — एतत् त्रयं अस्माकं व्रतम्।
Supreme, true, and unconditional — these three are our vow. The substrate is sovereign on its own ground.
गणकानां पारलोकिकाः न भवामः, अपि तु गणिता गणनकर्तारः। फलं पाठकस्य, गुरोः, परम्परायाः।

Mean motions — Sūrya-Siddhānta mean longitudes for every graha — the base layer of the sovereign kernel. No foreign code at runtime.
Kerala corrections — Nīlakaṇṭha Somayājī's Tantrasaṅgraha (1501) equation-of-centre and śīghra corrections — the model that put the five tārā-grahas on true paths.
Dṛk-saṁskāra — Honestly-labelled observation-fitted layers. Every fitted constant is called fitted — never hidden inside a 'classical' claim.
Derived engines — Pañcāṅga, daśā, varga, muhūrta, nakṣatra, gocara — all computed downstream of the same sidereal longitudes (Lahiri ayanāṁśa, Ujjayinī-anchored deśāntara).
Verification — Every release is measured against NASA/JPL Horizons on 1,000 stratified samples spanning 2000–2050. Residuals are published per graha on the Accuracy page.

Because Sanskrit is the original linguistic substrate of jyotiṣa. English is the translation — Sanskrit is the source. We restore the original ordering.
